PRESIDENT MESSAGE
	Respected Past Presidents, my IPP, my colleagues in the New committee and Dear Members-it is It is indeed a great Honor for me to serve DTPA as its new President. Friends, about 14 years back when I became a member of this wonderful organization, I never thought that one day ,I would head this organization. When, I joined this organization, I was a young naïve, “Green-behind- The-ears” Lawyer with absolutely no backing and support- I was a first generation lawyer and it was a like a leap in the dark. As my association with the organization grew, I found a huge family out to support to in my quest to rise up the professional ladder. I consider my self to be the fortunate one who had enjoyed the support, affection and love of almost all the past presidents of DTPA apart from a large numbers of its members. It’s a pay back time for me.
This is the pledge I take as I accept the baton of responsibility passed on to me by my wonderful friend and my IPP Sri Sanjay Bajoria. I am in an enviable position. We have our coffers full; the strong infrastructure is in place and a team of dedicated DTPians beside me. Thanks to the untiring and relentless effort of each and every Past President who has worked very hard to bring DTPA up many steep slopes in a series of bring upward leaps. This is a perfect settings to spoil oneself. But I am fully aware of the weight of the responsibility bestowed on me. The prospect also excites and energises me. We are well placed to scale the stunning peaks so close by. Our Vision for tomorrow- “Toward a powerhouse of knowledge; A leading institution of the country influencing the future” . I invite you all to join me in this grand quest. The task before the new team are many. The call of the time is we must continuously innovate and bring out new ideas. The great successful men of the world have used their imagination. They think ahead and create their mental picture in all its details, filling in here, adding a little there, altering this a bit and that a bit, but steadily building. This is what DTPA must aspire to stand for- “The Thrill of discovery” “Learning how to learn”. We have around 1200 members. But few members are taking active interest.This a matter of great concern. Our endeavor should be to enlist the participation of our members, Particularly young and to create leaders of tomorrow. Our focus would be to improve quality of programmes we undertake and to broad base our activities. We must not forget that we have members belonging to other stream- we must also organize programmes catering to their needs in collaboration with different professional bodies. Over the years, I have realized that the strength of DTPA lies in its fellowship, faith and sense of belonging of its members to the DTPA parivar. I promise to uphold these values and will ensure that DTPA continues to be a leading family where one member cares for another.
